Goals from Adam Lennox, Louis Anderson and Mark Robinson sealed a comfortable victory For the Star against Bishop Auckland.

Manager Mark Collingwood restored Lennox and Lawson back into the starting line up and had new loan signing Mark McLeod on the bench following his arrival from Hebburn Town.

Seaham started the game facing a strong wind and should have opened the scoring in the first minute, Liam Heywood was picked out by Robinson but hurried his shot from 10 yards and allowed visiting keeper Liversedge to parry his effort

More sustained pressure from the home side kept the Bishop defenders busy as efforts from Lennox and Lawson went close . Seaham’s keeper was forced into his first action on 24 minutes when a free kick from Anthony Callaghan was caught on the wind and held under the crossbar by the Seaham stopper.

The Star continued to take the game to the visitors and were rewarded just before the half time whistle. Mark Robinson was tripped by Jamie Poole and referee Mr Hart had no hesitation in awarding Seaham a penalty kick. Lennox stepped up and calmly slotted the ball to keeper Liversedge’s left hand side.

With the strong wind at Seaham’s backs for the second half, the visitors were going to find it hard to get back into the game. Lee Kerr was directing the Seaham attacks and threaded a ball through for Lennox but his effort was turned away by Liversedge. The Star introduced McLeod for his debut on 60 minutes and his first touch created an opening for Robinson, who saw his shot blocked by Poole.

Seaham’s second substitute Louis Anderson joined the action in the 70th minute and was on the scoresheet 8 minutes later. Robinson collected the ball on the right and picked out Anderson, the striker went past Paul Roddam and drilled the ball past Liversedge and into the bottom corner.

The final action of the game was when a free kick from Robinson flew past the defensive wall and nestled in the back of the net in the 90th minute making the score 3-0 to Seaham Red Star.
