New signing Dan Wilson was the only change, coming in at centre forward to replace Vinnie Gash, who dropped onto the bench.

The home side started well and Andy Hunter was soon called into action collecting a deep cross from Patton.  More pressure from Bishops and Ryder crashes a shot against the bar, three minutes later and the opening goal is scored when Ryder goes past 3 defenders and fires inside the post. The Star bounce back with a shot from Hetherington which home keeper Liversedge tips over. Twenty one minutes in and its 2-0 a long diagonal ball deceives Howe and Patton controls before going on to drive high into the roof of the net giving Hunter no chance. Bishops continue to press and have their 3rd goal ruled out as Johnson just strayed offside. Seaham, eventually get a grip of the game and good work sees a shot from Palmer go narrowly wide. Seaham’s efforts finally pay off when Wilson is fouled by Hoganson in the box, the striker picks himself and the ball up and smashes the penalty past Liversedge. The goal lifts the visitors and a good spell before the break sees chances created for Wilson and Hetherington, right on half time a Gardiner shot goes narrowly wide with Palmer inches away from contact and a certain equaliser. Bishops go in 1 – 0 up.

Liam Hodgson replaces Jewitt at the start of the half, but it’s the home side that take the early initiative, a rash challenge gives Bishops a free kick 25 yards out and full back Hoganson fires a unstoppable shot into the top corner to make it 3-1 and open the gate for the homes side. Six minutes later a cross from Patton is met by McGoldrick who lifts his header over Hunter to increase the lead to 4-1. Soon to be 5-1, two minutes later former Star player Munro hits a terrific drive from 20 yards past Hunter. The final goal of the day came in the 69th minute when Gibbons fired in from the edge of the box following a good save from Hunter of another Hoganson bullet.

A very disappointing performance from the Red Star, despite being outplayed in the opening half chances were created and Seaham could have gone in on equal terms, however, the second half was one way traffic with Bishops superior in every department, and the 6-1 scoreline could have been a lot more.
