A massive three points for Seaham Red Star after trailing three times and then bagging a late winner. After two minutes Kendal were awarded a chance to take an early lead when the referee pointed to the spot but Ryan Winder shot over the bar. However they soon took the lead when Yawson was put clear and he finished into the bottom corner. Half an hour in and Seaham had their own chance to score from the spot, Hailes equalising against the run of play from 12 yards. Four minutes before the break Kendal were back in front when Yawson played in Bailey who finished well for a deserved half time lead. At the start of the second half it was all square again when Colquhoun equalised for the home side but only eight minutes later Kendal were back in front when Yawson and Bailey combined again with Bailey netting from inside the six yard box. Seventeen minutes from time it was even Stevens again when Rutherford scored Seaham’s third goal with his first touch of the ball after coming on as a sub and then with ten minutes to go Seaham got their winner. Wearmough fired a low cross into the box and Rutherford finished it off at the back post to put Red Star in front for the first time and to take the points.
