North Shields lost a two goal lead and Seaham came back to force a share of the points. The Robins took the lead on thirty four minutes with an unfortunate own goal by Archibald following a Lashley ball into the middle of the box. Early in the second half the home side went two up when Mason played in Lashley who fired home. The visitors pulled a goal back on the hour when Colquhoun scored to half the deficit and then in a dramatic finish five minutes into added on time the game was levelled up when Shields couldn’t clear a free kick and somehow the ball ended up in the net with Wearmouth claiming the last touch for a late equaliser.
