Only one goal was enough to separate these two teams after a battling display. The first half finished goalless despite Blue Star having a number of chances and they did have the ball in the net just before the interval but it was disallowed by the referee for a foul on the goalkeeper following a goalmouth scramble. Within a minute of the restart Blue Star were in front when Henderson poked home the ball after a mishit shot fell invitingly for him to steer into the roof of the net. Blue Star thought they had scored again a few minutes later but it was disallowed for offside. Blue Star held on to their slender lead to make it a successful night and three points on the road.
