Boro Rangers came from behind to claim all three points, with the visitors taking the lead against the  league leaders after only two minutes when Chisholm slotted home after a great pass by O’Connor. Boro hit back when Guy cut back a ball for Rose on the edge of the box and he calmly found the net, restoring parity and in added on time at the end of the first half Rose got his second to put the home side in front, nipping into intercept a back pass, rounding the keeper and finding the net.  The hosts extended their lead on seventy two minutes when Thompson got the ball twenty five yards out, cut in and fired a strike into the bottom corner.
