First Half:

The first chance of the game fell to Red Star as Joe Kerridge had a free-kick from around 25 yards out, only to hit the wall. However, Kerridge had another chance just minutes later and a ball into the box found Kerridge in space, but he turned it over the bar.

It took 16 minutes for the Star to open the scoring as debutant, and birthday boy, Adam Lennox found the back of the net. Kerridge danced down the right side and played the ball into Lennox. Lennox initially mishits the ball, only for him to beat the defender and place it into the bottom left corner. 0-1.

Thibault Charmey had his chance on the 25-minute mark. A looping cross from the left-hand side was met by Charmey’s diving header only to be saved by the ‘keeper at his near post.

10 minutes later, Seaham would be awarded a penalty as Lennox rounded the West End goalkeeper, only to be tripped by the ‘keeper’s leg. Lennox’s penalty was converted, and Seaham took a two-goal lead.

However, 5 minutes before the interval, Sunderland West End pegged one back. Number 14 just flicks the ball over Andrew Jennison and manages to score before Thomas Bott could clear.

Second Half:

Seaham came out firing for the second half as just a couple of minutes after the restart, Joe Kerridge finally found his name on the score sheet. A well-weighted ball through to Kerridge saw him place the ball in the top left corner. The Star regained the two-goal lead.

Then it was substitute Harry Wood’s turn to score as he received the ball on the left-hand side, then flicking it past the defender and his high-powered shot hit the bottom left corner and the Star got a fourth of the game.

The last noteworthy action of the game was provided by Leo Messi Mark Robinson. He put the ball straight through the legs of the defender and played and magnificent back-heel ball into Lennox but the ‘keeper beat him to it.
